When I want iced coffee, or cold coffee I brew the coffee stronger and that way when it is poured over the ice it's taste is not as affected. It is best if you can brew it in advance and let it sit in the fridge until it is chilly. If you want sugar, try adding that while it is warm so it still disolves.
You can cold-brew the coffee by adding the coffee grounds to the water and let it sit for a day until the grounds sink to the bottom. Pour through a filter and you have a delicious cold coffee that is much less acidic since it wasn't brewed using hot water.
