    Taste really is in the eye of the beholder, or the pallate of the beholder.  Bogle has made some decent value wines, but others are so terrible I cringe.  I suggest you ask you lcoal wine shop to two other reds of the same variatel and price point of the Bogle and compare for yourself.  For example, I've found Sean Miner's 4 Bears label to be an excellent value wine.  We held a tasting last spring focused on California wines and had the Sean Minor represent the value end of the spectrum. We were tasting it against higher end wines from the likes of Alpha Omega, Larkmead, Shafer, Truchard and Chappellet.  Aftert the tastign the crowd rushed to the retailer we brought to the event to order cases of the Sean Minor.  I am not saying it was better, but when tasted it all togteher it made it hard to justify the price difference in the higher end stuff.  I hope that helped.
