What is the best / healthy snack to eat late at night?
It is known eating late at night is not good but if you are really feeling hungry what is a good snack to have that is healthy?
I'm not a nutritionist but I'm guessing something that's easy to digest and not spicy. Maybe a rice cake (since it's mostly air)?
Depends on what you are doing late at night - if you are working, bananas and eggs will give you the energy you need to get through the night and apples will help keep you awake. If you eat junk food on night-shift you just get more tired and then you need to drink coffee and then you can't sleep when you get home in the morning. If you are just up snacking, eat something that will not give you heartburn when you lay down afterwards, toast or a healthy type of cereal, but not anything acidic.
The best snack to have late night is fruit salads, desserts or anything which is not fried or heavy for your stomach.
Yogurt topped with granola is a good late night snack. Light fresh fruits and vegetables are also good for late night snacks, and you can even dip them into yogurt for something sweet.
It is preferred you didn't eat late at night before going to bed because it causes problems with your stomach and gives you nightmares as well.
I can't say .......... because late night grazing always leads to getting fat.
But I guess if we eat something fibrous then it might be good.
Coz it helps in good digestion.
You can eat corn/baby corn. They act as a great roughage and help to flush out the digestive system, Therefore I think it's healthy!
I sometimes like to eat a small piece of fruit to keep my metabolism going. I generally like to eat something really sweet like cherries or grapes to feel like I am having some kind of dessert. Sometimes I have a small bowl of natural kettle corn. It's low in everything and is actually healthy for you. Fills you up a little also.
nothing with starch, yogurt or nuts (if you aren't allergic) would be a great snack
My personal favorite is peanut butter and celery, but like anything else, your results may vary.
I've gotten into the habit of having a smoothie since it is easy to digest and hopefully doesn't interfere with normal digestion too much.
Baked kale with a little sea salt seasoning. They come out of the oven like potato chips...put them in a baggie and eat them all day long. They are awesome and very healthy.
Finding tasty snacks when your trying to watch your caloric intake can be difficult. Here are three of my top favorite guilty-free treats. read more

What time does everyone consider late at night?Just a silly question about the relationship of time. Do you consider 9PM late and must get to sleep? What about 11PM? When the clock strikes midnight? Or even later than that?

When it comes to healthy snacks there aren't many options to munch on. Especially if your looking for something raw...fruit excluded. So what's your favorite healthy snack and where can we find it?
