What is your favorite snack to eat late at night / in the evening?

I have been on a kick of eating popcorn from an air popper topped with a mix of organic butter & olive oil with some sea salt. I also enjoy crackers & cheese.

I'm a nutritionist by trade, and I would recommend that people watch their starchy carbs before bedtime. The best bedtime snacks include protein and a dietary fat to keep your body in an anabolic state while you're fasting (sleeping). If carbs are wanted, I would include a low glycemic food like berries or veggies. With that being said, some of my favorite night time snacks are:

    (1) low-fat cottage cheese mixed with blueberries and walnuts
    (2) Greek yogurt mixed with pure pumpkin puree and pecans
    (3) Smoothie with chocolate protein powder, Greek yogurt, coconut oil, and strawberries

My favorite go to food in the evening is plain old toast with butter.  Very comforting and my body could definitely do without it...but is sure is good.

A glass of red wine... does that count as a snack?

I love Nutella! I find it goes great with everything, especially as a snack! I love it on toast, crackers, plain bread, or even pretzels.
I also love good old potato chips, especially the sour cream and onion ones.

I would have to agree with "maximumfatloss" on the cottage cheese. I was taking a protein shake before bed, but then decided to lay off since it creates an insulin spike.

Strawberries, dipped in nutella. It is my comfort food and guilty pleasure after my children go to sleep. Often accompanied by a nice glass of wine.

I thought it wasn't a good practice to eat before going to bed especially drinking alcoholic beverages.  I am trying to keep away from it.  The best one for me is a cup of decaff tea with honey and an apple - it does not bother my sleeping.  Mostly now all I have is a cup of warm milk with spices: (cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, ginger,& honey) to take with pills to sleep & prescription. Cheers.  To each his own life - pretty soon they won't let us live our own lives and do as we want to do each and every day - they will pass laws to take away all of our personal liberties and make us suffer for being individuals.
