I had a canary melon -- I don't know how weird that is, but it was the first time I'd ever even heard of them, much less tried one. It's only about the 6th or 7th food item that's been brand new to me since starting with the local branch of the Bountiful Baskets food co-op...and it came right along with figs, another first for me .
Pennsyltucky Fried Tofu - aka. Thai Deep Fried Tofu. It was tofu deep fried with peanut oil, sesame seeds over fresh sprouts - it was DELICIOUS.
