What is your favorite cranberry recipe?
Jalapeno Cranberry Sauce
12 ounces fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup water
1 cup white sugar
3 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 cup sherry
1. Rinse berries in cold water; drain.
2. In a saucepan, mix water and sugar; stir to dissolve sugar. Bring to boil. Add cranberries, Jalapeno peppers, and lemon juice, and return to boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add sherry and stir well. Remove from heat and let cool completely at room temperature.
3. Refrigerate in a glass container with cover
Puree the following ingredients in a food processor, apple seeds, and orange peel included. Let the mixture sit until it begins to look juicy.
1 bag of cranberries
1 cup of sugar
1 whole Granny Smith Apple
1 whole orange
In a separate bowl combine the Jello with boiling water and stir to dissolve.
1 small box of cherry Jello
1 cup of boiling water
Mix the gelatin with cold water and let it sit until it thickens.
1 tablespoon of Knox gelatin
1/4 cup of cold water
When all 3 steps are complete add the gelatin to the Jello and then combine with the cranberry mixture. It can be topped with nuts or marshmallows, but I've always preferred it just as it is.
