Oh, I hadn't thought of stuffing. What a delicious idea! I like the sound of shallots, sausage, wine and bread. :   )

I like them in a spinach salad with a raspberry vinaigrette.

I use them in my homemade Chicken salad. I also put in toasted almonds with them. They are delicious!

I've never used them in chicken salad. I'm definitely going to try that this week!

I put them in a salad (this is one of my husband's favorites) with the following ingredients:

spinach, chopped celery, toasted pecans, gouda cheese, apple slices, chicken chunks (optional), and topped with honey mustard dressing.

Craisins are an excellent addition to a basic trail mix!  You can even just mix nuts and craisins and you have a healthy, delicious pick me up snack!

I'm glad you brought up trail mix. I just made granola this morning and added craisins. Thank you for commenting!

I love using dried fruit to make fruit & nut bars. One of my favorites includes dates, dried cranberries, and some chopped walnuts.

In the food processor you can mix up the dates & dried cranberries until they form a ball (be sure to pit your dates first), and then mix in the walnuts. I do this part by hand because it's easier.

Roll them out and cut them into squares or bars and it is a delicious, natural treat! (Unless you get sweetened cranberries - I prefer the unsweetened berries because dates are super sweet.)

I really like this idea. It reminds me of "naked bars" I tasted once: sticky, natural and delicious. I look forward to trying this. Thank you!
