Is soup/gravy foam bad for you? That is, suds, bubbles, etc. or is that an old wives tale?

Does scraping/spooning off the foamy top layer of soups and gravies really get rid of toxins or is it only aesthetic?

Commonly known as "impurities" the foam that collects at the top of a simmering soup or sauce is really an accumulation of fat and the bits and pieces that get trapped in the fat as it is brokwn down and bubbles to the surface. These items are not toxic, if they were, the entire batch would be harmful.
