Apple Cake

    This cake can be eat for after dinner dessert, snacks or warmed for breakfast. Recipe is below.

    3 cups chopped apples
    2 cups sugar
    1 1/2 cups oil
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. Cinnimon
    3 cups self rising flour
    1 tsp. vanilla

    Preheat oven to 350* Pour sugar over apples. Let sit 20 minutes. Mix oil and eggs together. Mix with apples and sugar. Add vanilla and cinnimon. Stir in flour a cup at a time until all is mixed. Pour into a lightly greased and floured fluted pan. Bake 1 hour.

    even if i tried i would fail but my kids would love a home made pie. thanks for instructions, maybe one day.

    Yum, this reminds me of my mom's recipe, except she cheats and uses canned apple pie filling.  Thanks for sharing!

    This recipe is almost the same as my apple cake with caramel drizzle icing.
