Do I need to use special cookware for the microwave?
How can I tell if a dish is safe to use in the microwave?
You should use cookware that's labeled microwave safe. This should include heat resistant glass, oven tempered glass, glass ceramic cookware, ceramic dishes, plastic containers and paper products.
If your uncertain test the dish by placing a one cup glass measure filled with water in the microwave along with the container your testing. Microwave at high for one minute. If the dish your testing remains cool its safe to use. However if its hot don't use it.
