Going to the beach! What are some great food ideas for a beach picnic?
We need a change from the ordinary sandwich fare.
Well as soon as I read the question I was going to say sandwiches or subs but then I just saw the part about a change from the ordinary sandwhich fare so I guess not that. ha-ha. But you can honestly take pretty much any type of food with you on a picnic. Just make something and put it in a throw-away container and take it with you. The other day my boyfriend and I made sloppy joes nd aput the meat in a container and brought a package of buns with us, along with some chips and cookies. You just need to make sure you have all the necessary things like a spoon if you need it, etc.
Try tortilla wraps!!!!!!!!!! I love them, and you can stuff them with all sorts of cheeses, meats, and vegetables.
I think were I going to a beach that light foods would be the thing, as one doesn't want to eat something too heavy should they intend to swim.
Fruits are another fine thing always!
