Very carefully! Thats the best and safest way to light it.
With paper. You either wrap some of the pieces in paper, or you could burn some twigs.
Cover it in lighter fuel and throw a match at it. Just dont keep adding fuel when its alight and you can end up with no arm hair or eyebrows!
Stack the charcoal in a pyramid and cover each layer with a fair amount of lighter fluid. Use a long stemmed lighter to avoid any unpleasant flame ups. Light the charcoal in two to three different places to end sure that it is good and started.
as mathewleo suggests ... in a pyramid ... i use parafin or petrol instead of lighter fluid.
