If you can get hold of the bacteria that they use to initiate the curdling process, homemade yogurt is nothing other than milk.
Yogurt recipes I found are simple. I get my culture starters from a source on ebay. The store is Nick's Natural Nook. I use organic milk. The best recipe I have found is in Nourished Traditions, a terrific recipe book to hang on to. She provides more than a great way to make yogurt, she covers recipes for fermenting foods.
My next challenge is homemade Kefir. It has more good bacteria and is low in lactose. Makes a great smoothie ingredient.
The basic yogurt recipe is to use organic cow or goat milk, raw if you can get it, add the culture, let it sit for the amount of time the instructions say that come with the culture.
Then you can add fruit, honey, or let your imagination run free.
