Where does Merlot Wine come from?
How many years has it been produced for and did it get produced during WWII?
It isn't region specific, it is a varietal (a specific type of grape). Merlot wines come from just about anywhere these days. They originally (researches believe) came from France. To my knowledge, production would have continued through WWII, but I am sure production would have been curtailed dramatically especially in France.
