   What is your favorite healthy "go-to" snack for when you are on-the-go?
   
   Looking for those snacks you can throw in your car so they are handy when you are 30 minutes from home and only 30 seconds from the candy isle

   I always find that Bananas or fresh tomatoes fill that gap for me. Most fruits can be a good substitute for the refined sugar snacks we all seem to love so much.
   A piece of chocolate is always lovely but who stops at just one bite of chocolate?

      I have a huge sweet tooth so I am always looking for ways to curb it. Fresh fruit is a great alternative. Frozen chocolate chips also help, I can usually eat 5-6 chips and be satisfied

   Granola bars are my typical travel snack.  I'm always trying out new ones to find a new favorite.  I prefer the kinds that aren't sticky with sugar and instead have a lot of dried fruit and nuts in them.  A handful of nuts, especially cashews or peanuts, is another great and filling snack.

      I love granola bars because I can throw them in the car and not worry about them spoiling. Have you tried Mrs Mays Trio Bars? They are made of 3 nuts, 3 seeds and 3 fruits (dried)...gluten free and super yummy!

   We just got back from a 15-hour bus ride through the Andes, and we took homemade trail mix with us to curb our hunger between meals. I mixed raw almonds, peanuts, dried fruit and chocolate chips and stashed it in ziplock bags. It's very filling and healthy, too!
