What spices give you the most bang for your buck?
Some spices are very expensive. Which ones do you recommend for frugal cooking?
That is easy. Most grocery stores have a value section of spices. I have also seen nice selection at some dollar stores. The spice you are looking for is usually labelled "Italian Seasoning". It works well in sauces, salads, on pizza, and in the super budget foods like macaroni & cheese or ramin noodles.
Coriander is a great spice that works in almost everything. Well worth a few dollars for a spice that will improve everything it touches.
