Do you think its important for as many folk as possible should grow their own food ?(if possible..)
Grow your own or by pre-packed chemicalised tasteless food.?
Definitely think so! If I had or have the chance, then I would definitely grow my own food. Just look at the obeisity issue we have today, not just due to poor diet, but also due to the types of hormones and chemicals being put into the foods we eat.
I don't remember this overweight and unhealthy issue being such an epidemic just a couple of decades ago. You have cloned this and phosphated that...what are we eating now-a-days. And the people in control of the food that enter our grocery stores seem to only be concerned with increasing their wealth. So they'll raise chickens in unsanitary conditions and disaalow crop to mature at an allowed or preferred time just to fatten their pockets(no pun intended).
At least growing your own food gives you more freedom of choice of the stuff that goes in it, as well as what comes out. The types of grains we use as feed, the types of chemicals being used, or perhaps the choice of using no chemicals. Even down to the type of soil. I think we'd be much better off. We are what we eat right!
