    How do you feel about McDonalds discontinuing the Chicken Selects?

    I'm sad! I enjoyed eating this as opposed to their nuggets.

    As a former employee, I don't view this as anything significant. The nuggets are preferred tenfold over selects. The main use we got out of them was putting them in chicken wraps (which was a very tasty to get rid of them) or counting them as profit loss because no one would buy them. The wraps will most likely be now filled with chopped chicken breasts, much like the grilled chicken wraps already are. So all in all, the selects were a profit loss in most locations and they cut it because the demand was lower than the required number of on-hand in order to maintain readily available stock that retains to be fresh.
