Do you buy any produce or meats from a local farm?
Are there co-op or community supported farms in your area that you purchase meats or produce from?
Not co-op or community farms but I favour produce from small producers who follow traditional methods and use old breeds of animals. It costs more as the old breeds are not fast growing animals.
I buy chicken from local farm. the chickens are organic and antibiotic free, and seem to taste better then the ones that the store. It also dose not hurt that there about 50 cents less per pound then the store as well.
I also buy a lot of produce from a local seasonal pick and pay that I enjoy doing with my kids.
If I could, I would buy from a farmer. I do buy all my produce from a local farm market that only offers fruits and veggies from county farmers. Since the food is fresh, it must be used within the week but the prices are so reasonable and the flavor is wonderful.
Yes, every chance I get, I buy met, produce, and dairy from local farms.

If you could have a one cash-crop produce farm, what would you raise? For me, it would have to be pumpkins because I love foods made with pumpkins, pumpkin juice and jack o'lanterns. How about you, what would you grow and why?

I've always been intrigued with the biblical story of Noah and the ark, so I thought I would examine what might have happened at that time.First of all, some assumptions were necessary. In the immortal words of Bill Cosby "I'm going to make it rain for 40 days and 40 nights and drown 'em...
