Foods you only eat in the summertime?

Are there any foods, be they specific fruits and veggies or snacks or special treats or whole meals, that you only eat when the temperatures start to soar? Why is this?

(For example, perhaps the food is more readily and/or cheaply available in the summer season - or maybe you just only crave it on hot days!)

Those are definitely classic picnic foods. I can see how you'd associate them with warm, sunny weather! :-)

Mmm, biting into a piece of fruit that floods your mouth with refreshing juice on a hot day is wonderful!

The food that I normally eat at summertime are salads, watermelon, mango, avocado and papaya or pawpaw. I only seem to like to eat salads in summer because it is refreshing and the ingredients are readily available. The watermelon, mango, avocado and pawpaw seem to be more or available in summer than in any other seasons here in England. I love these tropical fruits.

"Refreshing" is a big factor in my summer food choices too! Where in the wintertime I may want rich, heavy, warm meals in the summertime I love to bite into something cool and crisp or juicy.

FRESH FRUITS!!!! Best in the summer when they are truly organic!
    Iced lattes and frappuccinos!
    Milkshakes!
    Corn on the cob!
