How to roast meat perfectly in an oven?
The meat gets dehydrated every time I try to roast it?
Please give more info. There is many things that you could be doing wrong. Your temp could be too high or your not covering it when you first start to cook it. . I like to braise on the stove first then into the oven . It holds in the juices .
I am an absolute novice I just marinated the meat and put it in the oven at 200 + I believe....It was completely dehydrated. Thanks Terrie!
Hi , I realized I missed that I use an old fashioned roasting pan . Start the meat at 375 . I like to add potatoe and carrots with a little onion . It adds more flavour . I also put about a cup of water in the bottom . The steam helps keep it moist.
What type of oven and temperatures are you using? it sounds like your simply overcooking it, or using too high a temperate which results in as you say it simply getting too dry and thus chewy.
