What to do with a crap ton of onions?

My friend recently acquired about 60 lbs of onions from a charity organization. I have been tasked with figuring out what to do with such an incredibly large amount of onions in a relatively short period of time.

Dang. That's a lot of onions!  (And I hate onions...blecch! Haha)

Perhaps you can call some local food banks and ask if they could use them.

If not, make a crap ton of onion soup and freeze it for later consumption.

I know exactly what I would do with a truckload of onions.....If I didn't have a food dehydrator, I'd buy one or borrow one.  Then get busy peeling and chopping/mincing onions, dehydrate them and package them for storage.  Chopped/minced, dehydrated onions all year long.....Best thing you can do with them!

I usually just leave a few at the door knobs of neighbors when given free food that in no way I could eat before rotting.
