Like with any other website or blog you need to work at SEO to get enough traffic to your site and Google Adsense might be helpful in generating some revenue.

I had forgotten all about that.  I had started a page there back in March and promptly forgot about it.

I do not like the Interface.  It is very user unfriendly.

Your site looks great. I've one google site, just a few days back google has indexed it.I think Google sites will perform better than blogger blogs.

I signed up and then leave. I don't like the tools/widgets to build the site. Takes some learning curve to make it decent site.
Google Blogspot is so much better.

      Now it is improved.

It is very easy now, I think.

Blogger is much easier to use and create a blog.
But, what if you're not needing a blog? Google sites is not so flexible on the design of your site but do offer features that are not on blogger like revisions tracker.
So, if you build the site alone you can chose to let users see what changes have been made to your website pages. Think how this can help if you run a collaborative web site.

I think, it's depend on what your want in your site. Each has a feature to build. Personally, Google site is simple and basic design.
