I saw at my Google analytic that no one social bookmark bring visitor to my hubpages. I think I just waste time to submit hubpages to social bookmark and paid social bookmark such as Xomba, redgage, pages 360, shetoldme, and more. Do you think the social bookmark worth?

Sometimes they are worth while.  Dofollow social bookmarking networks essentially create low quality links, which will help in search engine rankings.  If you have followers on a network like StumbleUpon, you can send your hubs to them, drawing in more traffic.  I don't think the paid services submitting to a ton of random sites really help though - better to focus on specific sites that do bring in traffic or build quality backlinks.

Social bookmarking is a great way to get back links and increase your online exposure however, you are only going to get large volumes of traffic if you use well known bookmarking sites like stumbleupon and digg or you have a link that makes people say what I must read that article!

I am just now trying to wrap my brain around this RSS feed and backlink stuff and Google Analytics and all that crap. Seems to me writing a hub is the easy part ! I am still not sure how all that works, but I have had a few hits from one of those backlink deals. I am not that technologically proficient though !

@forlan social bookmarking is always helpful for seo. Yes it brings traffic to your hubpages. I am getting traffic from digg and SU. Even SU comes after Google in analytics. Here are some tips while submitting your hubs in Social bookmarking sites,

#1 make a list of top 20 social bookmarking sites
#2 if sites are do-follow it is good
    #3 create good network
    #4 Vote their Stories
    #5 Regular submissions

I think these tips may be helpful for you in getting traffic.

    All the best

I submit to a few social bookmarking too, but i'm not sure if it works, I think we have to be active in a ceratain bookmarking so we have more chance to show our site to them.

But when i started to bookmark my website, i don't know what happened but mysite disappeared more. It used to show when I typed it in search engine, but after I bookmark, it didn't sow up anymore instead Technorati showed up with my website name somewhere deep in technoratis pages. Does anyone know why it's like that?

Social bookmarking is worth...But some of the social bookmarking sites are dead....SO just do one thing...Bookmark some latest do follow sites...and keep in mind do not go for more than 50 Bookmarks a day !!

    Heres a few facts

No Follow Links contain no direct SEO benefit
Most social bookmarking sites, Xomba, Dig, Stumble, etc, are nofollow.
Sites that are do follow social bookmarking sites tend to be fairly low quality.

    and finally

Social bookmarking traffic has poor conversion rates, so don't expect to make a huge amount of money with it.

If content is useful and informative for reader. The user will come on your site this what we want. It doesn't mean that we stop the social bookmarking.

I am getting very good traffic from Stumbleupon whether it is giving no-follow links but one no-follow link sends one customer to your site is always better than the useless do-follow links. wink

But it's also worth bearing in mind that the links you get from social bookmarking sites while not bringing any direct traffic themselves, will help in the effort to make your hub better ranked in Google and so you'll get more traffic that way instead, eventually. Eventually is the keyword though - nothing is instant.
