Between:
A. No one else is complaining.
B. I did some hub hopping and found very recently published hubs.
C. Your post.
It is confirmed to me that it is something unique to me, and that the HP message is a red herring.
I'm going to give it one more shot...

Tried again.
Failed again.
Same HP error message again.
I’m going to my Control Panel and see what’s been nefariously installed recently…Found some suspects, but I’ve just decided to h@ll with it for now.
I'll wait and see if the problem reoccurs tomorrow.Meanwhile..., there is always the funfilled forums.
Well… Well… It was the last Silverlight update that messed everything up for me. Disabled it and am back in business.
