I know hubs and hubbers comes in all types and sizes and varied talents. Maybe some of the new hubbers already have friends here as I see some new hubbers of 8 days have rather large numbers of hubs posted and have 30-40 followers already in a week or so of time?

Am I missing the secret here? I ask this, as I have seen it more than a few cases such as this.

Maybe they aren't new and are just writing under a different name and avatar?  Or maybe they're just crazy good!? big_smile

A teacher of how to use HubPages and Squidoo teaches folks to write hubs or lenses and let them set unpublished while they then focus working on writing articles to back link to the hubs and lens after they have set and get indexed.

What you may be seeing is others releasing hubs they have been working on for weeks all at one time giving themselves a surge on the market.

It's a smart way to market.  I myself let my hubs set unpublished in order to review, update and edit all the while allowing them a better hubscore and indexing.

    Thanks big_smile

      Katiem2,

I too have heard about this. But what boggles my mind is how come an account who start a week ago has 40 followers and 30 some hubs?

very much possible even after maintaining high quality and you don't need to be a great talent for it smile

To explain it I would like to give you some example of hubbers who have done thing in electric speed. Pcunix, Wrylit, Kirstenblog and many others have reached around 200 hub in a couple of month.Their hubs are good, seo friendly, making money, getting traffic and you know they have 100s of followers. Also they are always active in the forum. A hubber named something..K9 has even got 100,000 page views in 4 month as well. The secrets lies in regularity, seriousness, time spent in HP, and best use of time.

When you are in a writing in a platform you are supposed to be full of ideas. If you pass few hours to understand how to write in that platform you can start writing down all your ideas straight away. And if you have got the knowledge on seo and some other useful staffs its even more easier.

Well, 30 hubs in 8 days is tough if they were really written in that time frame.  I could do that, but it would be very hard work.

At one point I maintained one article per day for three different sites and kept it up for a month. That was brutalizing work and I only kept it up because I had made a commitment to myself. Had it been for money, I would have issued a refund after the first week and quit!

If they were not pre-written, I will tip my hat to that hubber in great respect.

            Pcunix,

I am guessing that either they were prewritten too, as writing that many is not possible for many, however maybe rare few can do it. Thanks for your help.

and that really is the answer to your post. there are so many different kinds of people here. some may have transferred articles they had somewhere else or may pay others to write for them or any number of methods as some have shared, but if they sign up and publish many low quality hubs, it doesn't help them or the site. try to write the best you can and the benefits will follow.
    welcome and enjoy!

      Rebakah,

True, that answers how come they have 30 some odds posts! but getting followers in high number is unusual, unless they already knew them!

There might be possibility that they are so good at writing and marketing but rare few of us truly are!

You're worrying about things that don't matter. Perhaps, those people have commented on a lot of hubs or done other things that you aren't aware of. But the real question is, is it really any of you're concern? Or are you implying that they are acting in the wrong?

Right, Nelle.  I agree with your comment here.  It doesn't really matter how many hubs or followers somebody else has.  It sounds selfish, but I really only worry about myself LOL.  I set my own goals, and I work hard to achieve them.  I don't like to compare myself to other hubbers or other people in general.

      Nelle, Kristen,

Thanks for replying. I was merely curious, I am not concerned or think they are doing wrong thing, at all. If you look at my question you will see it is merely educational curiosity. I thought hubbers are here to ask questions, I have seen far worse questions being asked around.

      Thanks anyways.

On subjects I know well, I've written more than ten articles in a single day. And yes, they were decent articles, written for publishers for pay.

Look to your left. You'll see I've averaged over one hub a day, and that's not including the hundreds of articles I've written for others.

    It can definitely be done!
