i've noticed this problem for a coupla wks now --
the links capsule doesn't always accept pasted urls
it often puts the link in, but doesnt retrieve the title or desc. ifyou 'test' the link it says it's bad, but the same url pasted into a browser finds the hub every time.
at first i thought it might be that the hubs i was entering were new, but i've now seen it for hubs that are weeks old
i've checked the url text i'm trying to paste, to be sure there arent any extra characters, but still says 'bad link'
BUT, if i clear the link, and type out the url directly, it works!
----
the end result is a url rather than a title in the links capsule when viewed. and, even if you do go back and finally manage to get the link to work ok, it still shows up as the url
========================
i've discovered this paste problem in the start a hub section also -- if you paste text into the 'choose a title' it doesnt auromatically create the hub address as it normally does if you type, so it appears you have to type the title in manually
EXCEPT - i found if you just paste, then insert an x it creates the web address as it's supposed to, and you can then delete the x
==================
these are minor irritants, but not being able paste text just leads to many more mistakes, esp'ly for those of us who can only type with 2 fingers
it doesnt happen every time, but it does happen frequently. at first i thought it might be the urls were too long, but even the short ones foul up - and it looks like it's somehow connected to the paste.
what you said about title is true.
I think you had both of your hubs in edit mode as you were trying to do reciprocal linking. It happened to me.
this problem is still alive - it seems most of the problems are with longer hub titles, but not all. once a title does go 'bad' it persists when used by several hubs
here's an example:
http://hubpages.com/hub/Noahs-Flood-a-review
i had originally pasted in the 'best books evolution' hub link and it still reports it as bad. but if i do search & pick it out of the list, it works fine. [i've left both versions in for the moment in case tech support can do anything]
again, this problem occurs even when editing older hubs, using links to other hubs that are weeks old

This hub:http://dzymslizzy.hubpages.com/hub/The- … land-CurseHas, for the second time, garnered the "malicious links" warning. I have checked. THERE ARE NO MALICIOUS LINKS IN THAT HUB!! They are all perfectly legitimate links to the original reference sites I...

I've had links to my own related hubs snipped on several occasions (mostly blatant lists at the end of a hub), but some links have been left in place after several snips. So is it acceptable to include a link to a hub which may be very relevant to the specific content in a section of a hub, if it...

We've realized for a while that with our existing tools it can be very time consuming to manage links across a large portfolio of hubs. Many Hubbers have tried to handle the interconnecting of related hubs using Link and RSS capsules. That works to an extent, but we feel that...

What are your thoughts on the new affiliate link affiliate link blanket rule? Do you think it will reduce the tsunami of spam hubs that spammer hubbers are publishing or will it make no difference at all?Personally I have had three Hubs flagged and placed in no mans land for affiliate links even...

Dear Hubpages...Seems ANOTHER of my "roundup" app comparisons got flagged "overly promotional", AND "pixelated/watermarked pix/video" to boot. I don't get this "overly promo" flag, as all the links are to Appbrain, known Android software index. And yes, I...
