Some people smoke in happiness and for funtime.
While others smoke when sad and depressed.

    Comment on why you smoke?

I can't imagine a good reason for anybody to smoke.

    I smoke during breaks.
When I write, I smoke during 'think breaks'. When I record, I smoke during 'listening breaks'. When I cook, I smoke during 'simmer for 30 minutes breaks'. I smoke during coffee breaks, of course. And I smoke during 'waiting for a train breaks'.
All I have to do to give up smoking is give up having breaks.

Well, I'm going to college on January 10th., and will be living on a ship from Monday to Friday. I'll only be allowed to smoke outside, and since freezing weather is expected, I guess I'll be cutting down - a lot.

As far as I know, the ship won't be sailing anywhere, and during the day, I'll be attending a Nautical College for Inland Waterways. This goes on from January to April for three years. I've been on the apprenticeship since last April, working on a passenger ship on the Rhine.

One subject I'll definitely get a good grade in is English - we have to learn English as a foreign language. smile

I won't be doing any singing during that time, nor a lot of other things I enjoy. No Hubbing either ... well, maybe just a little.

No - I haven't given up the day job. I started working for my boss when he needed extra help for a couple of days, and he decided to keep me permanently, give me the apprenticeship, plus full salary - more than I was earning in my usual day job before. That was in Summer, 2009.

Yeah - I'll miss HubPages, so I'll probably log in at the weekend. Maybe I'll take the computer with me in case I have time in the evening on the ship ... I'll see how it goes.
