There were no tickets sold with all six numbers in Tuesday night's drawing of the multi-state Mega Millions lottery and the estimated jackpot for Friday's drawing will grow to $237 million, the largest since May.
The odds of matching all five numbers and the Mega number is 1 in 175,711,536, according to the Mega Millions Web site.
The Mega Millions game is played in 41 states and the District of Columbia.
what would you do if you won?...quit writing? buy an island?...disappear?..
First of all, I would give my mom, brother and father ten million each after taxes was deducted, then I'd quit both my part time jobs completely and just become a full time student to finish up my degree. I would use the rest of the money to buy a new house along with a car. Nothing too fancy or extravagent, as I wouldn't want anyone to know that I was rich. Then after all that, I would heavily invest my money into saving bonds, cds, roth ira and various other equities to make my money grow for me. Don't get me wrong, I would set aside like ten grand to splurge a little bit on movies, video games and whatnot, but that's it. Then after I get my bachelors, I would take a trip around the world. A life long dream I've had since I was a child, then after that, I would just live off the interest and become a full time writer.
Never telling anyone that I was rich, as I wouldn't want any phony friends around me. That's one of the reasons why if I did win the lottery, I would straight up lie to the girl that I was dating and tell her I was poor. However, as things got serious, then I'd tell her the entire truth and how I wanted her to love me for who i am, and not for what i have. hence, the reason why i lied about my fortune, so i could know for sure. i know that sounds bad but if you know my luck with girls in real life, then you'd understand. after all, you can't be too careful.
Oh, good. It's time for me to win it. All I have to do is get the number. Now, have any of you good guys and girls heard of Joe Silva? He apparently dreamt of the number twice and both times won it.

What are the mathmatical statistics of winning millions of dollars in any lottery?I am just wondering what the mathmatical statistics are for winning a huge jackpot as opposed to a fairly small jackpot in any lottery?

To all atheists: what if I asked God for the winning lotto numbers and He said 13, 8, 28, 18, 2, 48and you won, will you believe in Him OR will you say it was luck, coincidence and rigged

If I won, I would start an investment after paying off debt. Buy my own house. A nice Lexus. Support parents and brother. And then, live life they way I always wanted to it,.....Free!

When you purchase a lottery ticket, do you play your numbers or do you quick pick? Are the odds better if you play your own numbers or quick pick? What is the ratio of winners who have won with quik pick versus playing their own numbers?
