In light of protests in region, and if you booked a holiday to Jordan, would you now be actively prepared to cancel it even though its to places like Petra, Wadi Rum and Aqaba where its peaceful?

      Well,

although I know that there are certain risks, I need to go there some day to complete my life-task, which is visiting the 7 Wonders of the World.

Hi, well, I think you should come right away, its marvellous, there is absolutley no problems down there....Petra is simply awesome and wonderous. I live right in the center of Amman, and everyday I go to work as if nothing is happening and/or security is compromised. Petra is about a three-hour drive from here, there are hotels that would allow to see the old city at your convenience. Come abroad. Sorry if this sounds like an ad, its not supposed to...........

I would like to go to Petra, but if I did I think that I would go on an escorted tour or at least with a group of people. Same with most places in that region. At least, I would if I were a tourist. I am thinking about spending a month in Palistine, now THAT is dangerous.

It's better to have an escorted tour which is how a lot of people who come to Jordan do...Its better because you are taken around and told about different things in Petra.....what is this and what is that, a definite plus. As to Palestine, great, do it, its the adventure in the end isn't as well as the educational significance, many people from different countries go there as well
