I have 3 hub that are not published yet. The thing is their scores are going up. Two of them are in the 60's and the third that was posted saved unpublished 2 days ago is at 55 with 4 views? How is this possible?
The views are your own. And the HubPages algorithm works on the material that is in the Hubs, published or not.
Yes, I have a couple of unpublished hubs that I have been working on and their scores are also in the 60's now. Whenever you click on your hub to edit, that is considered as a view, so you must have edited that particular hub four times.
Our own views are counted. Even unpublished has URL and hence the hubscore goes up.
You are correct, the number of views does affect the score, but there are a lot more factors involved in a hub's score, as relache mentioned.
Correct me if I am wrong - our Hub Score does not reflect any of the unpublished Hubs? Whether I have unpublished it or if it has been pulled?
You mean our Profile scores ...don't you?
I am sure it does reflect your hub score and other interactions in varied degrees. Hub scores are not the 'only' reflectors of the profile scores.
The traffic organic and internal, the comments all may have their own impact but HP does not reveal the way profile scores are arrived at.
I don't know if previously published hubs hurt your score, but I am pretty darn certain that if you have lots of hubs that you just never published (ie URLs that you have 'reserved'), it does affect your hubscore. Don't ask me how I know that.
The distinction between "Hub Score" and "Hubber Score" always causes confusion. Hubber Score is the official name for the score by your avatar, I think. I prefer Author Score. "Profile scores," that's new to me, but sounds good as well.

Sometimes when I have ideas for hubs, I "start a hub" and sometimes finish it later or just let it sit there for a while. Maybe I should just write down my hub ideas instead. Does it hurt my hub scores or overall hubber score to have those unfinished hubs (often with just titles) sitting...

I'd like to suggest we get rid of Hubber Score - and perhaps even Hub Scores. They:- are constantly misunderstood;- cause a lot of upset and grief in the forums; and- encourage newbie Hubbers to direct their efforts in entirely wrong directionsFor instance, I've known newbie Hubbers stop...

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

The scoring system of habpages is either fundamentally flawed or purposely biased in favor of long hubs. You said it hubpages team: the more, the merrier, but I dont think that this is in your interest, or the interest of hubbers and other people using the website. To make my case, I used...

When I published a hub a couple of weeks ago it reached a score of 96. Wow! I almost convinced myself that I had finally got it right! Wrong! Two weeks later the hub now has a score of 88! What should I read into that? Most people say that one should not concern...

Hub with over 800 words of content. My own photos. A video added. 3 Amazon Products that are hub content related. A whopping hub score of 49
