Since the panda update, this might be a good place to try your luck out. Knol is owned by Google and gives you 100% share of Adsense impressions.
Can anyone share some knol success stories?
I just started using it, I'll let you know how it turns out!
It seems like a non-starter to me. I looked into it a while ago. I can tell you it is a very rare Knol that does well in the SERPS. The ad placement is terrible too.
The person who referred me to Knol has knols that get hundreds of hits a month.
I'm not sure where they're coming from, but that sounds good to me.
after HP, IB and X are probably your next best bets, no reason to join up with a proven dud. But to each their own ,every site was a non-performer at some point.
But google owns tons of poor performers, the balance seems to weigh heavier on the fail side.

While I don't know how much $ they're making, I was able to get this info off of them just now. It's a co-worker of mine. The traffic is there, I just don't know the profitability.
If anything, it's another backlink to my hubs!
if I remember correctly know includes the nofollow attribute in it's header, so there is not much benefit in backlinks.
That's partly true. You have to become a "trusted" author.

I have never seen a Knol show up first page in a search.
100% of nothing - since the placement is garbage as WA stated.
I actually get decent traffic with Knol, which I drive to more profitable sites. I have to admit though there is an element of 'luck' factor in there, only one article is doing well, everything else has leveled off a 10-50 daily visitors.
My advice would be to team up with others and create collections with Knol, otherwise you will rarely get any traffic.
Great tip - I didn't know about the revenue sharing. This has been on my list - thank you very much!

1. Change ad placements so they don't interrupt the text. Place ads to one or either side of the text.2. Get rid of Recommended For You ads currently at the bottom of articles. They are undermining the whole site.3. Encourage more transparent dialogue between writers and the HP team. Exchange of...

There is a lot of bad SEO (search engine optimization) advice out there, and the use of automated services that procure backlinks to your Hubs is one particularly egregious example. Using services to get backlinks can result in your Google AdSense and/or HubPages account permanently banned. Yes, we...

I've heard they slow traffic down although I have a few hubs with call outs that are doing well, so I'm not sure what to do. I hear some say they're fine and others that they are traffic killers. Would appreciate some advice from the staff, thank you.

Dear Fellow Hubbers,I'm sorry to have to ask for advice about this problem here but, as I'll explain, my options are limited. I know some Hubbers also write for InfoBarrel so perhaps someone has had the same experience as me and knows what to do about it...I signed up for InfoBarrel and...

I am writing articles for this website since past 3 months. At present, I have 38 featured and published hubs. I have joined for Amazon and google Adsense program. Past two months I earned like very less amount, less than 1/2 dollar. If I continue writing and publishing at the rate of one article...

I am starting to learn how to social bookmark. I've been doing it on twitter, facebook, igoogle, digg, delicious, diigo, my blogs, pingomatic and a few other places. I have only been doing it on some of these sites for the last four or five days. It probably takes a while to see...
