I doubt whether or not to continue creating hubs here in HP....

Hello, HP community. After being away for some time, from HubPages only anyway, when I came back, two hubs caught my attention -- those of Ryankett and Sophia Angelique. I was depressed with what they have exposed. I have considered HubPages before as the lucrative way to build a potentially big passive type of income. When I checked the ranking of my hubs in Google, I found out they are in the third page or higher. This drop in traffic would likely affect our earnings here. What can you say about this? Will the HubPages team can do anything about this? Thanks. I am planning to post one hub every day...

You enrolled in Hubpages in the pick of google panda and is normal to see some turmoil around. Lots of hubbers have taken a big hit from this algorithm changes. And it is not over yet.
Hubpages is doing a lot of things right as we speak. They clean the site from duplocat or substandard content, they have created an HP ad program that eventualy would run from everybody in June so we all would have an extra income amd many more I don't know about.
Your time of enrollement may be actualy in your advantage since you can learn what's working and what's not, before writing 700 hundred hubs like ryankett.
I think that if you are setting your writting standards high, do inteligent research and have patience, things are going to go well.

Thanks for this very important reassurance. As my main online jobs become scarce this summer, I need to focus on writing for the future. I almost forget that the HP ad program is coming on June. Ok. Now my decision is firm -- I will post one hub a day however hard it may be.

I’d like to make that resolution. However, can anyone come up with any ideas on how to come up with a new topic idea everyday?

Take one positive word and write on it.... a continuation of your hub and thread and it will go on and on for a while at least smile

this is a good question. Here is what I do (and I have pages after pages with subjects I did not wrote about yet) : I go to Google Keywords Tool, on the right side, under the Category tab I clock on one subject. Then wait for the keywords to load. Then I choose the highest search volume and estimated PPC vs the lowest amont of results. and so I come up with 4 or maybe 5 keywords. Then look to see if they comply with my interests. Then each of it gets its own keyword research on the same way and the I come up with 10 more subjects about the same topic.

This is a good method.  I am trying to be more intentional about being certain about keywords I use, but I'm still not quite there yet! smile

But @paradigmsearch - I have so many files of ideas to write on, my problem is either doing the research or just working on putting the words down on computer screen, adding the extras, and revising. For me, finding ideas I like will never be the problem.  Money-making ideas, maybe.  But ideas in general... - would you like to borrow some of mine?  LOL  lol

I was "born again" in US just 8 years ago. I think I,m doing damn good, when not in a hurry. Not to mention that I'm almost perfect when writing in another language.

Good for you.  I've lived in north america most of my life and now I'm having difficulty speaking my mother tongue, and forget about writing.  I can do it but the words go to my brain in English and translate.. too long process.. the words just come back in English. lol

That's easy. Just visit blogs and forums. Others post questions that you can answer through your hub.

Posting one hub a day is indeed very tiring. I think I shall reduce my target to just one article every two days. Having around 120 articles after a year is no mean feat!

It is your take , your hubs and your pace ..why do you allow yourself to be stressed out and stretched out ..I would think quality is more important than quantity.. do it at your pace so that you can do your key word searches and SEO right smile

I wrote a hub a day for my first 6 weeks or so on HP.  BUT, I was unemployed at the time.  Even so, between writing that hub and reading and learning all I could about HP and online writing it was still difficult.

As soon as I went back to work it dropped to about 3 per week.

All of us have been effected, but just hang in there. HP will bounce back in no time. Many of us have been here through quite a few growing pains and we have survived. Keep on writing and welcome to HubPages! I have been gone for awhile so I didn't get the opportunity to say hello. smile
