I don't understand why some of the prices of Amazon products I choose for my hubs are so weird....like pajama pants listed for 80 dollars, or a book listed for one dollar? Can someone please explain the Amazon pricing system...and wouldn't these weird prices scare off potential customers? (At least the strangely HIGH prices, anyway)!
I'm guessing those are prices from third party sellers on Amazon. Many of them use algorithms for their pricing. For instance, the price of pajamas might the price another seller has them at plus 35%. Things get really weird when two sellers of the same item are both using different algorithms for the pricing of that item. Let's seller A has their price set at seller B's price plus 15%. Seller B has their price set at seller A's price minus 2%. Each time the algorithms check the price they'll make a price adjustment, and the price will go higher and higher until a human intervenes, or until the algorithm reaches a predetermined limit.
There was a story recently where this happened, and a textbook on Amazon from a third party seller ended up with a price tag of $23,000,000. Oddly enough, there were no buyers at that price.
thanks...if I see a weird price, I just don't include that item.....but it's a shame, because sometimes It's an item I really want to include!

I noticed the last few days that Amazon capsules with Kindle books are displaying the following error..."Amazon is not providing us a price for this item. Therefore it can not be displayed."...but when I go to Amazon's sales page it has the price listed just fine. So for some reason it's...

In our most recent product review lenses, the Amazon product was the featured intro. photo. Can we continue to use those Amazon product images as our introduction photo or do we need to change them?

Today I was shocked to see that on my Amazon ads there were no visible prices! The only thing that was on the ad was the title of the item and a big, orange BUY IT NOW sign.I think this is going to put a real dent in sales because I'm guessing most people will feel that they would like...

When I signed up for HubPages, things were done differently. I may have signed up with an amazon ID, that is now defunct. I am wondering now, if the new way references the ID I signed up with; unfortunately I can see no way to check. Can someone provide me insight on this please?

Hi! I have a plan to post a product on Amazon, I'm from the Philippines. What if my customer is from another country, e.g. the USA, how will I deliver the product to him/her? Thank you.

In the past I relied solely on Adsense to earn income from Hubpages, however this year I was able to finally open a PayPal account, so I signed up for the Hubpages Ad program. As expected, I saw a drop in my Adsense earnings, but now it's practically non-existent. I was earning a couple dollars...
