I would like to use AVN ads on my adult hubs only. If I enter the code in affiliate settings, will it effect my other hubs too? I do not want these ads appearing on my other hubs. And there seems to be no guidelines in the help section regarding this. Can somebody tell me if it is possible? I also would like to know whether using AVN ads will affect adsense ads. Thank you.

AVN Ads will only appear on adult hubs and should have no effect on non-adult hubs.  However, unless at least 50% of your hubs are labeled "for mature audiences", we will not place AVN Ads on any of your hubs.  The AVN Ads can be fairly graphic and we don't want to offend publishers that create an occasional "R-Rated hub".

We may have a solution that gives more control to the author down the road, but for now, if you want AVN Ads to appear I'd suggest creating a separate account for publishing adult content.  That said, the CPM for AVN Ads is likely to be around 15-20% of what you're seeing with Adsense, so it may not be worth the trouble unless you are doing significant traffic.

Thanks a lot Paul. That was quick!. No. I do not want to go for it. I only have 2 hubs tagged mature content. Nevertheless they generate good traffic. So, I have one more question now. If I place links to my non adult hubs on these two Hubs, will it adversely affect my traffic and adsense status?

I also would like to know whether having a separate account for adult hubs (or having more than one account for that matter, from the same ip) goes with the HubPages policy.

      No, that's fine.

We do not prohibit setting up multiple accounts.  In fact, it may not be a bad idea if you plan to write a bunch of hubs on each of several unrelated topics.

The downside of course, is that you're existing fans and audience may not find your new content ... but then again, they might not be interested in the new topic anyway.

Thanks a lot for the reply Paul. Now that gives me an idea!. But I need to know one more thing before I venture into it. Sorry to bother you again, my doubt is how "adult" can an adult hub go? I hope you got my point. What I mean is that sometimes adult stuff can be downright porn!

Most of the time adult is porn smile

Adult is porn. My understanding is that Hubpages was restricting adult pages to softcore content, but since some of the AVNADS are hardcore, has that gone by the wayside? There doesnt' seem much reason to keep the content softcore if the ads themselves are showing anal sex LOL

Its funny in a way! It doesn't make any difference to the ads whether the hub is softcore or hardcore. LOL!!

As long as the content is properly labeled and meets the conditions of the HubPages User Agreement you should be all right.

However, as an author you must also ensure that your content meets the guidelines of the advertising partners that appear on them.   We automatically remove AdSense from hubs labeled "for mature audiences" or "gambling", but that doesn't cover their entire content policy.  Here are links to the various policies:

    Google Content Policy
    Amazon Associates Policy
eBay Affiliate Program - Terms and Conditions

We hope to improve our labeling system in the next release to offer a finer level of control and align better with our advertisers' various content policies.
