Obama tried to take interest away from the Republican Debate, He wanted to give his  jobs speech on the same day at the same time. He said it was an extremely important issue that had to be addressed right away. Really, and this was the same plan you said you had several weeks ago. So if it was that extremely important, what were you waiting for. Well the Republicans balked and Obama agreed to change the date, and he did. Why would Obama be so disrespectful to even try to give his speech on the Wednesday? Now the Whitehouse is claiming the Republicans we so disrespectful to make the President move the speech to Thursday.

Sounds like kindergarten playground banter. "i'm rubber you're glue, whatever you say bounces of me and sticks to you" GOOD GRIEF

See this is what is so bad about America - SPIN!

According to some news reports - Obama called Boehner and asked if it was OK to talk and he had no problem - suddenly Boehner made it a political issue.

We need to get rid of them all and employ real people.

        Simey,

Sorry to inform you that is not how it happened, well I an sure MSNBC believes it. On Gretta last night she said the Whitehouse sent a memo to the media about a speech in front of joint congress. The Media was alerted on Monday, before Boehner was even notified.

Now of course you would have been so in favor of Bush giving a speech on the same night Obama and Hillary debated. So who is spinning? And if you read the post clearly, I am calling both sides kindergarteners.

Amaerican View - sorry didn't mean to have a go at you - I was just pointing out what Obama's supporters would say - it's a merry go around.....

Agree the way this is being covered does make it sounds like preschool (if the debt ceiling debacle was kindergarden, this is one step more juvenile).

    Now really.
Congress is there to do a JOB. Their JOB is (in this case) to figure out how to get JOBS back to our country and put our citizens back to work.
Are you really gonna tell me the entire House is more concerned with a preliminary debate of GOP hopefuls than in doing the JOB they are paid to do?
Do you believe these public servants need to watch the debate live?
It's not like it's not going to be rebroadcast on the web or even on TV stations later. They can turn on their TVs at 10PM or 11PM and get all the highlights they'll need to know -- ad nauseum.

Meanwhile, I do think it is disrespectful to make the President move his presentation to Congress to Thursday.
You are aware, I'm sure, that now his speech directly conflicts with NFL.
If anyone had lingering doubts as to how completely un-American Boner et al are, that's it.
    What's more important than FOOTBALL?
    Geez! lol

      MM,

Actualy, he can give the speech on Tuesday, there is no sports on, and Congress will not be there. Even when they will be in front of him, they will not be there, And who wants to see another Biden sleeping picture anyway

I think so, regardless of the agenda on either side.  He is the President.

Boehner is on his high horse again. Such a poser.. how did he ever reach his position?
