I've got an 2 year old article that had ads removed because of content, and which I unpublished last month. I've found a new home for it, but first I thought I'd check and see if it had been plagiarised, and sure enough it has.
How do I file a DMCA then, as on the form Google specifically asks, "where can we see this article"?
I tried to hit republish, and get a message that it'll have to be looked at by a moderators first, and of course they may well say no, even though this is a 1,500 well-researched article.
So I back-tracked and left it unpublished, as re-publishing will only put it back in the system where I don't want it to be.
It's on articledashboard.com if anyone has had any dealings with them. I tried to use the 'contact us' button but the page is just hanging and not opening.
The DMCA legally speaking does not require the work to be online. I would suggest either finding a cached version (wayback machine) or just typing 'not online'.
I just checked and the hub is still indexed, but there is no cache version?
Anyway, thanks for that, I have gone ahead and filed the complaint saying that the article is currently unpublished to see what happens.
Try looking for it on the Wayback Machine?
http://www.archive.org
This would also give you proof of how far back your hub dates.
Many thanks I have never used it, always just the Gogle search. Anyway, here is what I got -
"Hrm.
Wayback Machine doesn't have that page archived.
Want to search for all archived pages under http://izzym.hubpages.com/hub/ ?"
Let's hope Google can find it.
Edit: got it. Under the old format - http://hubpages.com/hub/ etc
I've already filed the complaint, so now I know where to look for it if anyone says anything, thanks
I just checked and the site isn't even loading, just a blank page
I also got into the contact page on the articledashboard
The contact email is: feedback@articledashboard.com
Worried about suggesting something foolish here but want to help.
Is it any good taking a screen shot and saving it of the unpublished hub with the stats.open (so showing above the hub the date it was first published) it also shows word count and URL.
Not sure if it is a good idea or useful in this case.
You can also send the DMCA to the offending site. They do say in their T&C that anyone posting articles has to state the material is theirs. The site has been going for a number of years, so you may well get a satisfactory response from them.

After 6 months on the site i've started the really wonder how many backlinks is a reasonable number to any hub, and really to a hub becoming successful? Or is it simply a lottery. What kind of figures do other hubbers consider?

At the beginning of February, I had my hub on the Chinese New year removed because, apparently, it had 'unrelated products.' As the only products were made of jade, and as jade is considered extremely lucky in the new year, and I had written about that, the action was either malicious or ignorant....

I understand that a hubscore is dependant on a large number of factors including traffic and originalityI'm currently in the process of developing a hub and it currently has a 77 hubscore without even being published. Could this mean that the hub has a high potential of being successful in your...

I am presently putting together an article that is not published, obviously. But, I already have a Hub Score showing for it. Any ideas how this can be? Doesn't seem fair does it?I mean how can you score an incomplete article that has not been published yet and a low score to boot? Lower than any...

I constantly look for ways to improve a hub, old, new or middle aged. It seems each time I'm brought back to a hub, by a new comment or notice any opportunity to change it I do so.Now when we do that, the hub is no longer active until reviewed. It becomes unpublished. Most of my changes...
