Whitney Houston, addiction and responsibility for choices

    Wondering if you think Bobby Brown is responsible for the downfall of Whitney Houston, and why. In my thinking she posessed so much, and had so much to give the world - beauty, talent, power, money, love, and a daughter!- that it seems unfair to blame her turning her life to drugs on one man. Isn't the ultimate responsibility ours in all things? What are your ideas ?

      She could of turned them down the fall comes from accepting as well as giving. So she shares the blame for her mistakes and now her family live with the result. A sad end to a very talented person

    I believe the "pusher" of drugs or anything has a share in the responsibility, but the ultimate responsibility is ours in all things, unless of course one is a child or is forced or unknowingly made to take drugs or do a crime, etc.

    Bobby Brown may have been the catalyst but I guarantee you there was already turmoil inside of her long before he came around. People don't do drugs to that degree because their boyfriend or husband is doing it. There are a whole lot of issues within her that lead her down that path.

      It's hard to say because we only know what the media has made public but I agree with your point.  Most people do not do drugs because of a mate rather they do them for deeper underlying reasons.

    It's like leading a horse to water, they will only drink if they want to. Put temptation in front of someone with problems and they will more thank likely drink. A sad waste of a talented singer, may Whitney rest in peace and her family have strength, especially her daughter.
