My Hub is REALLY long - what to do?

   I wrote a hub on different ideas for fundraising for your club or group. However, it's very thorough and has 2500 + words!
   Should i just publish it all as one, or should I split it in half and create two separate articles?

   Others will disagree, I personally do not care about length, I think about providing everything that the reader could possibly be looking for, I have hubs in the 10,000 word range.  Most of my hubs are 2500 or more.

   You publish it as a Single document... and if it is appreciated by your readers on that basis, then that will be shown in your stats.
   
   I have several in the 3000 + range and have received feedback from students who found my work, all they needed to use effectively for research..

   You can answer your question by putting yourself in your reader's shoes.
   
   Who are you writing for: the experienced fundraiser reader who only wants the ideas, or the inexperienced fundraiser reader who wants not only the ideas but also detailed guidance on how to use each one? If it's the latter, then several hubs might be a good choice. If it's the former, then, as Pearldiver and Reality Bytes offer, 2,500+ words are not too many. Some of my best performing hubs are in excess of 3,000 words.
   
   I'm kind of jazzed by your question here. I see it as a good opportunity for you to write one "summary" hub that talks briefly about your qualifications and experience on the topic and then summarizes (via bullet points perhaps) each idea. Each of those idea bullet points would then link to a separate hub that goes into more detail, detail that would include your personal experience/success with each idea (something like a mini case study).
   
   What's important to the reader is that your hub delivers the information your title and hub introduction promise.

      Actually, I had the same idea last night!
      I'm currently editing it on Hubpages so that I can publish it, but for each idea, I have a little summary of what to do at the car wash, bake sale, barbeque etc.
      I was then thinking of writing a few more hubs that fully explain how to have a successful bake sale, etc, then linking them back to this one.

   If you've maintained minimal quality standards and it covers the underlying topic to its completion, simply congratulate yourself for a job well done for exerting the extra effort it takes to become a success within the exciting, highly competetive world of legitimate writing -
   
   I absolutely agreee with the advise already mentioned by other distinguished members and I've included the following just to add a little more perspective -
   
   There is nothing wrong with an author such as yourself who prefers creating "Thorough" work despite dissenting opinion you might hear from less experienced individuals - Writing "Complete" articles is actually an indication that you as publisher, maintain important characteristics which inevitably contribute to a strong personal dedication to topic research, support your authoritative position allowing you to credibly write about said subject, reveals your inner attentiveness and willingness to exert the extra effort to discover details, and substantiates your primary focus on accuracy while dowsing suspicions that you publish for ulterior motives -
   
   All of which are positive aspects and should help you to maintain a well deserved credible reputation within the industry going forward wherever you decide to exercise your talents -
