      You could only see those graphs while signed in, so it wasn't as if the whole world could see them.
      
      I understand them taking them away because they might have been demotivational to a lot of hubbers, but on the other hand, it made those of us with slapped accounts feel less lonely.
      
      Plus, I think all of us were secretly rooting for the success stories to see a return of traffic, which would have signalled well for all of us.
      
      Now, there are no signals except for the Quantcast graphs - http://www.quantcast.com/hubpages.com - and they don't look too good.

         Strange that it made you feel less lonely. Anyway, Ok but by removing the graphs at this time after the success stories traffic tanked, makes it look more like HP has something to hide. Especially when they leave the outdated text that accompanied the information. People are just gonna feel like it's a lie by omission.
         
         I'm not saying it is or it isn't, but I can;t agree that it's a good idea to say someone makes thousands of dollars a month when their graph showed otherwise recently and a number of them have spoken about how their traffic has fell 80% and some of their earnings have fallen a lot more than that.
         
         If this is truelly the case, then their income could be as little as $500 a month now rather than the $3800 that is claimed previously on the text portion.

            google panda/penguin seems to be why traffic has fallen. i was fine after the april update, but the latest google update on sept 28th killed all my organic traffic. i had 3 hubs on page 1 for very good keywords, and those 3 hubs were getting about 1000 views per month. other hubs (newer ones) were climbing the google rankings, until the latest google update.

      If HP is gonna remove the graphs, then they should update the average monthly earnings to reflect what the success stories are earning every month *now*, not eight or nine months ago. Mark Knowles is a professional, anyway. He loves to play religion.

      This user-created video is the first one I've been able to view on HubPages.  Something must have changed since I lasted posted about the problem on this forum, and I'm happy to see that any technical issues have been worked out.  I don't know whether or not the users who've had trouble downloading videos have it any better, but at least this one thing is improved.
      
      It was a good video, too.

      The text next to my "success" profile is accurate up to the date it was submitted (10/12/11), so I have to disagree with your statement.
      
      Now, if I get asked if I want to update the info they have listed there to reflect from then until now, that's another story entirely.

         That's factually true, but in practice, I think it's still misleading.
         
         Most outsiders, reading those income figures for 2011, would assume the "success" Hubbers were earning even more today, because their portfolio of Hubs has grown.  Without the graphs, there's nothing to counter that misconception.
         
         HubPages should update the stats to 2012, otherwise they are deliberately giving potential recruits the wrong idea.

   That seems accurate to me.  If the text is all (every profile) updated and correct, why remove the graphs? If both were inaccurate (they don't all look up to date to me, but I suppose they could be), why leave only the text?

   I must say I have always preferred the older style front page.
   
   Looking at the front page success stories it does seem as if the number of hubs they have published updates. While the money stat. only updates yearly it says -  "as of 10/12/2011".
   
   I am assuming that is a USA date so it will update in October (we Brits might read that as December).
   
   I have seen forum posts this year from some of the hubbers featured where they were updating us on their current circumstances.

      Come on, we all know money is honey and that it matters how well one can gull a baby. It depends on the power of the falsehood. When did a crook update the money stat? Which world do you live in? Is that called the Truthland Fairy World?

    I think Mark's post and video brought attention to the outdated success and HP staff had to react.  I think it would be in their best interest to find some new success stories that show graphs with an upward growth instead of the huge downward slopes that our current success stories show.  Though their words may be true, their graphs are evidential to their success or non-success.
    
    I did get to see the graphs before they were taken down and the ONLY person on that list that had an upward trend, small but still upward, was Habee.  I think leaving those outdated success stories is misleading to newcomers.  What may have been true a year ago is certainly not true today.
