      I grew up during the sixties watching this war on my television at dinner. I thought it would never affect me as most wars only lasted four or five years. Guess what!  They called my number in the seventies but stopped the draft before I was having to make a decision. I thought as Ali thought. "I ain't got no quarrel with them Vietcong."

        And why did they end the draft? -so they could keep the war going on.. and shut up all the war protestors. It worked because the Mandatory aspect disappeared. We are not done protesting, but no one does.

      -cuz we're headed for ww III.  My hippie camp couselors taught us nine year olds that song. Thats why you seem familiar to me. You got that late 60's style.    my question is, where did all the flower children go? In my mind they are still out there somewhere: peace loving, idealistic, beautiful... about 25 years old. where are they when we need them most?

        How to stage a Love-In:

        Meet at a park.
        Bring acoustic musical instruments.
        Wear flowers in your hair
        Wear love beads.
        Wear flowing sleeved, flower pattern shirts and bell bottom jeans.
        (or whatever)
        Sing anti-war songs.
        Talk about what peace means.
        Talk about how people do not have to sign up to fight wars they do not believe in.
        Carry a Make-Love, Not War sign.
        Greet one another with the peace sign.
        Wear peace signs.
        Make sure a public restroom is nearby.
        Do not spend the night.
        Bring along Veterans who agree...now.
