I remember Staff telling us that in this new test that seasonal hubs and others would stay featured longer. To my surprise I signed on today to find a seasonal hub now un-featured!
Has there been another rule change?
Yes, Hubs may be featured for up to nearly one year depending their author's Hubber Score. This does not mean that they will always have Featured status, and seasonal Hubs will still require more upkeep than their non-seasonal, evergreen counterparts.
I hope that clears things up a bit! Rest assured that your high Hubber Score is making a difference.
I was wondering since it became featured again after the new post by HP for the longer time frame. Now it is un-featured again. In some seasonal material one has to wait for fresh info to become available to update them...as in sports hubs.
I take it my Hubber score was not high enough for the sports hub to remain featured longer?
I still have no idea why my Easter hub was never published. I know there's a reason, I just can't figure it out. It's called Blessed is the King.
I may just remove it from HP. I am not going to have to jump through hoops on every single hub. Especially seasonal hubs. If HP does not want seasonal hubs, why don't they just Post that in TOS and get it over with?
Never mind about this hub. I just deleted it, and 6 more, even though they were featured still.

Do you think it is better to unpublish seasonal Hubs? They won't get traffic during the year, so I'm wondering if it would be better to unpublish those until the next season. I am thinking about Christmas Hubs I have written.

I only have a few un-indexed hubs, mostly seasonable like "Valentine's Day Decor" and similar. If those hubs pick up traffic - due to sharing on social media I guess since they are no longer indexed - will they be re-indexed automatically or is it necessary to edit them? ...

There are some hubs that will become un-featured and it's not always obvious why - so why not let each hubber have 3 to 5 hubs (perhaps those featured in the Profile) that never go un-featured....

How do you maintain page views on your seasonal hubs, if any?I do keep on updating them. What else should be done to have a continuous flow of visitors?

I would really like to know a definite answer for this question. I have always observed that whenever i publish a hub few days before the event the hub is about it gets high ranking in SERPS in google. But many are of the thought that you should publish your hubs few months before the...

I've just had a hub idled--yes, I prefer to use this word--which has a score of 84 and over 4000 views. Its a seasonal hub and usually gets me quite a few views during the winter. I understood from the staff these would not be idled if they received traffic during their peak...
