For the last two days, my page views are down, and my page view numbers don't correspond at all with each other - when I look at the counts on My Earnings and at the top of the stats section in the hub itself, they are much lower than the numbers reported individually for various sources.  For example, when I go into the stats section of one hub and click on the 'Day' tab, it reports 24 total views, and yet reports 70 from google, com, 3 for google.ca, 2 from ask.com, and 9 others from various sources.  Why is there this discrepancy?

Hi mperrottet - that's strange! To clarify (before I file this with engineering), is the discrepancy you're referring to on the Hub stats themselves? Or between Hub stats and earnings reports? Based on your description, it sounds like the discrepancy is between the total views and the number you get when adding up the views from each source. Is that right?

Just to add to this discussion, there is a big difference between my traffic on HubPages statistics and on Google Webmaster Tools.

Yes, the difference is between the total views and adding up the numbers from the various sources.  The difference is quite large, as noted.  The current total on one article (the Dave Chappelle article) is 6 total views, but 84 when adding up the sources.

I talked to engineering about this. This is indeed a bug. They are aware of the issue and working on it. I'll update as soon as we have a fix in place.

FYI I am going to move the thread to Technical Problems since this isn't really an ad issue.

I actually just noticed this on one of my hubs.  It said 0 views for the day but it actually showed several views listed below the stats from some sources.  Maybe it's a glitch.  I'll check some of my others.  Usually the numbers are pretty close.

Update: Yes it does seem that the numbers are off.

Will this have been affecting people's income at all, as mine seems well down on normal lately?

I just checked and saw the quite large discrepancies on my, hubs, old and new. But I found the opposite: the reported page view amount is larger (way larger) than that of adding up views from the sources. That makes sense to me since it does say somewhere in the stats box that not all views sources can be determined. I just think it's more than strange that the discrepancy in some cases was over a hundred views! Won't that nullify the pageviews accolade???
