Here's a question:
I understand that even if you change the title of an article, the URL does not change from its original form.
So, if, for example, you had a title of "How Honeybees Are Important," ...that would appear as, "hubber name.howhoneybeesareimportant. HubPages. com"
(spaces added to prevent making a link to a non-existent article)
And...suppose you changed the title to "Why are Honey Bees Important?"
Which would Google see and present?? (or both??)
Google sees and presents the title and URLs as they exist. There may be some delay at first once a change is made to a Hub title until the hub is crawled again, but the new title and the original URL are what will wind up in the Google index.
Ok, thanks, relache. So, then, it should not matter to the ranking for the article?
Many hubbers purposely have a different URL and title to cover more keywords.
"Why Honeybees Protect The Environment"
/why-honeybees-are-important
I believe that a title is 70% of SEO.
Oh, I see, that's interesting. Thanks, WryLilt!!!
Also keep in mind that most people read the title of the articles in Google not the url. It's always good to have a related url to the title though, so with your honeybees example it would still be related. Not related is not good for SEO.

I'm relatively new to this site.I know most sites of its type do their best to be "Google friendly" which translates into "family friendly" (a phrase I hate, by the way). Over the years when tempted to use profanity either in a title or in the body of an article (and I can...

My 10 year old lawn mower repair guide that once shared a snippet with B&S was demoted by Google this summer because of a new guide on repairing mower handles on Dengarden. The author used the same first five keywords that I had in my title. I changed one of the keywords in my title from...

A year or two ago, I posted a thread where I offered to give feedback on hubs and how to improve them. I then went on to write a post based on the most common mistakes I saw people making (you can read it on the slider on my profile.)This time, I'm going to offer title suggestions. Post ONE title...

New hubber here! (Well, sorta new. Started an account years ago and just checked back in.) Still trying to grasp the whole SEO thing and I'm wondering how long it takes to get a hub indexed and how to tell if you have been? Also, are articles on the niche sites more "findable" on google...
