T.E.A. Party Patriots Are not Republicans

The fatal flaw Republican establishment made is assuming T.E.A.Party Patriots are republicans at the core.  If you track down someone familiar with the T.E.A. party you may find republicans. but in California you will just as likely find independent voters.  The Establishment gets mad if the T.E.A party affiliate doesn't act like a republican.  The assumption may be false since many never have been and never will be Republicans. It is just as likely you find a hard working Democrat, sick of excessive wasteful government spending, affiliated with the T.E.A party.

Truth is what makes the Republicans different from the Democrats or visa versa is the presence of liberals in the Democrat party and the presence of conservatives in the Republican party - remove both and what is left is basically the same on both sides if you were to judge by what they'd do not what they say.

I think Lewis Black said it best:
"I'm never right, so you can quote me — but I believe the only good that happens is that a third party arises. A real third party. Because what I find irritating about the whole Tea Party thing is that they've driven me to the center, and I'm really not happy there."

That would be good - I totally sympathize with what you articulated so well. Tough thing to accomplish but then so was independence from England - what we need is a political Revolutionary War, it won't be easy and many battles will be lost but the choice to continue like this is no better. Think about it - would we be any worse off if in 2008 a real third party came into existence? We still would be where we are now but at least the next election or two and from there on there would be a real alternative. Candidates like McCain and Romney will never cut it. Something has to be done to stop business as usual in DC. Washington Doesn't Care.

You got it, DC doesn't care as long as they have their cake and circuses.

Lewis Black is a favorite political humorist of mine and I totally get what he says. The problem with the polarizing paradigm we have in American politics is that to draw an issue back into the middle for compromise with the bunch of slime we have in congress, there has to be an extreme opinion on one side to make any compromise in the middle more palatable for both sides. What a tremendous waste of time and expense. Rather the issues should be tackled from a healthy middle should be the wiser way to compromise. But I could never claim that there is a great deal of wisdom entertained by that hapless bunch.

They were nutcases causing the gov. shutdown. Now we see that they were more accurate than Obama himself.

I take movements very slowly. I am afraid of associating with radicals. I wish I had joined them before so I could say -- I told you so.
socialism sucks. It is a failure. "Tea Parties" are necessary for both socialism and monarchies.  I will know longer drink the king's tea and or koolaid.

If you ever get s chance to go to a T.E.A party go.  You can totally disagree with them, be accepted and be refreshed.  If they were all republican it would never fly in California.

Someone doesn't know what socialism is. Teabaggers are like warts, they keep coming back. They're nothing but a bunch of worthless pigs.

If you are as right about your definition of socialism as you are about pigs being worthless - perhaps you should engage in a little inner contemplation.

Current avg. pork futures price =  $ .86 cents per pound
Current avg. retail pork price    =  $6.47 per pound
          Avg hog weight at slaughter     =  287 pounds  = $246.82 whsle  =  $1856.89 retail
Misc. pig parts potential value; heart valves sweetbreads etc. = $2084.37

Value to economy: from pig farmer to slaughter house to retail market, each pig/hog is estimated to be responsible for 3.2 jobs

Estimated medical value: Approx. 2762 heart valve replacements using pig heart valves are performed in the U.S. each year - which equates to approximately 2762 lives saved or enhanced.

So maybe that pig isn't so worthless. But if you would still like to offer your definition of socialism, I am sure many would be interested.

As to your opinion of the TEA party, I suspect it would be fewer that would be interested than those that agree with your definition of socialism.

I had honestly never looked at it that way. Don't forget anti immigration policies and an emphasis of getting rid of non natives from the country.

LMAO! C'mon Comrade Lenin, what are you doing wasting your time in this discussion? You're dealing with a dying political party that worships losers like Palin, thinks this is the 18th century, and their party's nickname (teabagger) is a popular homosexual activity where one drags his testicles across their partner's face! I'm out of here, need to go return some books to the library and pick up my kid from school. Oh wait! Those are considered  "socialist" institutions by our Palin worshiping, poorly educated teabaggers.

This says volumes of what you both know about the T.E.A party.
