"Deforestation is clearing Earth's forests on a massive scale, often resulting in damage to the quality of the land. Forests still cover about 30 percent of the world’s land area, but swaths the size of Panama are lost each and every year.
The world’s rain forests could completely vanish in a hundred years at the current rate of deforestation."

"But now, due to overpopulation by humans, animals—even insect colonies—and deforestation, the oxygen in the air is become a diminishing resource.
Pollution has had a significant impact and events like the BP Deepwater Horizon Gulf disaster pumping up to a million times more methane into the ocean water serves only to speed up the already accelerating process."

Deforestation isn't the only thing that may make our atmosphere unbreathable in the relatively near future, it looks like there is a gigantic host of problems creating a changing atmosphere. Mostly cause by humans.
I know. We need to respect nature and appreciate and preserve the abundance of nature. Thats our true wealth. We need very little. I have seen videos of India. The people have little but they have been traditionally a happy and loving people. We need love more than material goods. We need enough to live and enough to appreciate how little we need.
I see an enchanted land there beyond the fence: An enchanted land of grassy plains and waterfalls, and trees of every type and flowers, fruits and vegetables... enough for all. Alas, surrounding this enchanted land
is a fence
and a gate with a chain
and a lock
and a sign that says "No Trespassing."
Is it enough to look into the enchanted land?
is it enough just to see it?
Sadly no.
See Janesix, you bring out the hippie in me.
Darn it.
I actually think everything will be fine in the end. I think there is a spiritual evolution going on.
But on the practical side, I still see the problems we face, and we HAVE to make an effort to change it. I think we will.
I really do.
I just hope we're not too late. http://collapseofindustrialcivilization … xtinction/
