Can you improve the score on your hub by editing the original hub after it was initially scored?
Scores are empty numbers. It's traffic and earnings which indicate how your hub is doing. Scores increase with time anyway.
Thank you for your reply. I am a new Hubber. I'm still trying to figure out the scoring system works. I've read the FAQ's time and time again, but can't seem to break the 60-80 range.
Don't worry Katrina. I have been here 4 years. I have hubs that rank on the first page of google, get thousands of views a month and yet are given a hub score in 60's and 70's. Just don't worry about HP ranking as long as traffic and google rankings are working. Obviously if I have scores of 70's that are on the first page of searches, those scores mean nothing to google.
@Katrina1981 The HubScore is largely based on the QAP. A score can change each time the Hub is edited and evaluated, so editing your Hubs can be a good strategy to improve these scores.
Keep in mind that HubScore and HubberScore, although they sound pretty similar, are different.
In general a HubScore is unique for each Hub and the HubberScore is for your profile and is largely based on the HubScores from all of your Hubs.
You can find a bit more about each here.

Matthew, thanks a bunch for the feedback! I want to continue to do my best to create quality hubs for everyone to enjoy.
I know the names alone can make the scores a bit confusing sometimes.
Glad to help!
It is good I saw this thread. I kept wondering why my hub score keeps fluctuating. My hubber score too took a four point dipped in four weeks. I was able to upped it when I posted new articles. The link from Matthew is a great help. Thanks much!

I'd like to suggest we get rid of Hubber Score - and perhaps even Hub Scores. They:- are constantly misunderstood;- cause a lot of upset and grief in the forums; and- encourage newbie Hubbers to direct their efforts in entirely wrong directionsFor instance, I've known newbie Hubbers stop...

Okay, so I am asking a quiestion about my hubscore because the whole idea of a hubscore seems a little cryptic to me at this point. Yesterday I passed the 75 threshold for the first time. And today I saw my score rise to 76. I was happy. Then later when I was thinking about...

My title should have read another hub author score question . I have noticed this hubber that puts up a lot of hubs, however, they are all very short, most less than 100-200 words. The type of hub that can be put up in less than 15 mintues. And, the majority of their individual hub scores...

I think I know the answers I will get from my fellow hubbers on this topic. But what is funny is that two days of no activity from me in Hubpages has dragged my Hubscore from 79 to 74. How fair is that? I cannot go on contributing every second of every minute of every hour of every day of...

Do-follow and No-follow backlinks affect our page ranking in google. Is there any relation to our hubscore here on Hubpages? I've been told that there is probably no affect on our hubscore in relation to our backlinks. What do you think? Also has anyone monitored one of their pages and frequently...
