Independent Affiliate Options

As I get my new HubPages account set-up, it appears as though I am not able to use my independent Amazon and eBay affiliates, despite having two long-established HubPages accounts where I am able to do so.

Can anyone from admin verify if new Squidoo transfer accounts are not being given the option to use their own affiliate IDs at all and must exclusively use the in-house Amazon and eBay programs?

You can bring your own Amazon id https://hubpages.com/my/earnings/affiliate/amazon

but, you can't for eBay - That was their policy.

Hmmm, I have to go back and see why the Amazon settings are not letting me put in my own ID.

    Okay, here's my problem.

In my "relache" account, under External Affiliate Settings, there is an Amazon option.

In my new "schwarz" account, this option is missing.

There's a small option there to enter your own affiliate ID. But this is what I see in my other account, not a squidoo transfer.

The link to configure an external Amazon ID is the one Paul has already given you here.

      EDIT:
You got it yay! You'd probably see the link as in the screenshot above?

But my Squidoo account didn't have *any* Amazon account active yet.  Your picture shows a link that would allow you to change the account settings from the in-house program to independent.  That example doesn't exist if no account has been configured.

My question concerns why I couldn't find where to set an independent Amazon affiliate ID into the account settings of a brand-new, transferred Squidoo account, when there is a completely obvious button and settings slot in "regular" Hub accounts.

Oh yes I remember now, I couldn't add my own ID that's why I decided to give the HP amazon program a shot on one of my accounts. You're right, this option wasn't available until you signed up for the hp amazon program first.

Did you try the link I sent you?  I can take a look later tonight if there is an issue.  Here it is again.

I tried it now, and that does the trick.

How would I have found that if you hadn't sent that to me?

I just created a new account without anything configured and I see the option to bring your own Amazon ID.

I highlighted so you can see it.  Did you already configure schwarz account?  If not, we can take a look at it.

@schwarz I looked at your account and if you click the get started button for Amazon, it's at the very bottom, but it's not obvious.  It looks like we have a CSS bug screwing up the formatting.  We will get it fixed up.
