Callout capsule won't allow HTML

    I have used the callout capsule in my other hubs and using HTML was allowed. This was good as it gave control in formatting text inside the capsule. Like highlighting or increasing font size etc.

    Now I am in the process of creating a hub and I see that HTML is not allowed in the callout capsule. Can someone from the staff or other hubbers confirm if using HTML is not allowed anymore or this is just a glitch.

      The callout capsule does not support HTML, only plain text.

      The HTML support is the HubTool is very limited and all but the most basic tags are stripped on save.

        Just by adding the HTML code as per the syntax and it was working till some time back. Now it won't work sad

    Hm, I have Callout capsules with HTML in them -- links -- and they work fine.

        Callout capsules that were migrated from Squidoo were grandfathered so they may have other content.
        If you add a new callout capsule to a Hub, then plain text is the only format permitted (there is no HTML view).

        If you edit and save it will all be gone.

          I never heard about this callout capsule till now. So no knowledge what it refers to.
