How do I determine where to post. Forums or Q&A?

I have never been very active in forums, and would be on HP more often if I knew the correct place to post certain topics. For instance, yesterday I was concerned about the view count error and wanted to know if anybody else was experiencing it. I made sure nothing was posted about it already, and was prepared to post my question in forums on the "Technical Problems on HP" thread, but I read the forum FAQs first, and it says not to post anything about traffic related bugs there. So I posted it in Q&A. Now today multiple people have posted in that technical thread about this issue. From what I understand Q&A is more non-hp question related, but I felt like I had no other place to post.

Question: Did I post in the correct location (Q&A), or should I have posted in the forum?

That is just one example. I've ran into this dilemma on a couple of occasions. I would be so very grateful if somebody could explain to me so I can be more active in the HP community without feeling like I might be doing something wrong.

Thanks in advance for any replies received!

If you have a technical issue that you would like to be brought to the attention of staff, please post to the technical issue forum.

This sticky thread outlines the sort of information for which we are looking for such reports and some basic trouble shooting steps to try before reporting as well.

QA is intended mainly to find information to create a Hub (factual content, not opinions or discussion content).
This Learning Center Hub has more information about the purposes of QA and forums.

Issues or problems with stats, or other site features makes sense in the technical forums. The traffic part relates to people who might see their Hub have fewer visitors, so that wouldn't be a technical issue, but more an SEO question and might make sense in the improving traffic forum here.

          Glad to help!

As Patty mentioned, if you think something might be specific to your Hub/profile/content or you don't want to have the information in a public forum, you can email us as well.

Questions about HubPages should be brought to the forums or sent to the staff in an email to team@hubpages.com. If you're really worried, email the team.

Q & A was begun to stimulate Hubbers to write Hubs, rather than to report glitches.

I guess I posted in the wrong location 36 hours ago. Lesson learned. I now feel more comfortable knowing where to post moving forward. Thank you for your help Patty.
